The pleasures of an ordinary day

No big plans today.  An idea or two, but nothing scheduled.  So where do we start?  A trip to a playground.

We had scouted this playground several weeks ago.  It held lots of promise. All the things we like:  a cover, size appropriate equipment, a few different things to play in (there was a puppet stage)  and - of course - a slide to climb on.

The best part is that it was empty when we went in. Unfortunately, 10 minutes later, a local school paraded in 3 classes of students for recess.  The last thing we heard before the 40 kids were "freed" for recess was the teacher's warning:  "be careful of the little boy!"

We broke free and went out for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, we went to visit Tia and Mike. Luna and Logan picked lots of lemons that morning so we took them a bag full.  It was important that we play with them one more time before we gave them away.

It was happy hour time, they said.  Is their happy hour the same as our happy hours??????
